Salary and Options

Salary and Career Path

The earning potential for a dealer in Italy is split between a base salary and the mancia (tips).

Level Base Salary (Approx. Annual) Key Responsibilities
Trainee/Junior €16,000 – €19,000 Dealing standard Blackjack and Roulette.
Senior Dealer €21,000 – €26,000 Managing high-limit tables and complex Baccarat games.
Pit Boss/Manager €35,000+ Overseeing multiple tables and resolving disputes.

Alternative Routes: Online and Offshore

If the "Big Four" aren't hiring, don't be discouraged. Two other major avenues exist for Italian dealers:

Live Studio Dealing (Online Casinos)

With the explosion of online gambling regulated by the ADM (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli), companies like Evolution Gaming or Playtech hire Italian speakers to deal games in front of a camera. These studios are often located in Malta or Riga but serve the Italian market.

Cruise Ships

Italy is home to major cruise lines like Costa Cruises and MSC. These ships operate in international waters and are constantly looking for Italian-speaking dealers. It is a fantastic way to gain experience while seeing the world, often with lower tax burdens on your earnings.
