One of the best things about starting as a Game Presenter in Malta's live casino industry is that it's not a dead-end job. There is a clear career ladder, and motivated people can move up relatively quickly.
Game Presenter → To Senior Game Presenter / Game Host
After gaining experience and demonstrating strong performance, you can move into senior presenter or Game Host roles. These positions typically involve handling VIP or dedicated tables, which come with higher pay and more responsibility.
Chat Support & Player Relations
A popular next step is moving into chat support, where you act as a bridge between the player and the casino operator when issues arise at the table. If a player raises a concern, it's first escalated to chat support, who try to resolve it before it becomes a formal complaint. This role develops your customer service and problem-solving skills.
Floor Supervisor / Shift Manager or Team Leader
With more experience, you can move into floor supervision, where you oversee multiple tables, manage presenters on shift, handle escalations, and ensure game integrity and regulatory compliance. This is a significant step up in responsibility and compensation.
Training & Quality Assurance
If you have a talent for teaching and coaching, you can move into a trainer role at the studio academy, helping the next generation of Game Presenters develop their skills. Quality assurance roles involve monitoring live streams, evaluating presenter performance, and ensuring standards are maintained.
Beyond the Studio
The skills and industry knowledge you gain as a Game Presenter open doors throughout Malta's massive iGaming ecosystem. Many people use the role as a launchpad into other areas of the industry, including game development, compliance, marketing, account management, and operations. Malta's iGaming community is tight-knit, and once you're in the ecosystem, opportunities are everywhere.
♠️ My Insider Tip: Don't think of the Game Presenter role as the destination. Think of it as the doorway. Some of the most successful people in Malta's iGaming industry started exactly where you're starting now: in front of a camera, dealing cards, and learning the business from the ground up. This is also very true in my case and the journey has been incredible.
